Nominations are now being sought for an Election of Eight Members to the Council 2024 (“the Election”). Pursuant to Article 62 of the Institute's Articles of Association, at each Annual General Meeting to be held after 2017, one third of the elected members of Council for the time being or (if their number is not 3 or a multiple of 3) then the number nearest to but greater than one third shall retire and be eligible for re-election. IRD – New Era of Profits Tax Filing

Inland Revenue Department – 2023-24 Profits Tax Filing   The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) issued 2023/24 Profits Tax returns to corporations and partnership businesses on 2 April 2024. This is the second year in which the IRD has implemented the voluntary e-filing initiative. Taxpayers are encouraged to participate in the voluntary e-filing of their profits tax returns and the required forms together with the supporting documents (including financial statements and tax computations) in iXBRL format. To facilitate taxpayers in preparing the required iXBRL data files, the IRD is providing the IRD Taxonomy Package (the Taxonomy) and the IRD iXBRL Data Preparation Tools (the Tools), which can be downloaded from the IRD website, free of charge. The Taxonomy and the Tools have been updated and enhanced this year.   Dear Members and Students, We are pleased to inform you that the new intakes of the Professional Diploma in Tax Advisory programme jointly offered by The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong and CityU School of Continuing and Professional Education (SCOPE) has started.
