By the end of the nomination withdrawal period, twelve nominees remain as candidates of the Election.  An election is now conducted by postal ballot. Notice of Polling (including the Rules and Procedures for Voting by Ballot, and Candidates’ Election Statements): Important notes: Details of the postal ballot have been sent individually to electors on 13 August 2021. You should receive a set of Voting Paper, Reply Slip, Ballot Envelope, Return Envelope and the supplementary information of the candidates. If you have not received the ballot by Wednesday, 18 August 2021, or any of the above-mentioned materials is missing, please contact the Secretariat. Before casting your vote, you are strongly advised to read the “Rules and Procedures for Voting by Ballot” on the overleaf of the Voting Paper.             1. The 49th AGM The Institute is going to hold the 49th AGM on Friday, 3rd of September 2021 at 5:30 p.m. at The Chinese Club (華商會所), 14th Floor, 21-22 Connaught Road Central, Hong Kong. Notice of the 49th AGM (including the proxy form): Members are strongly advised to register for attending the AGM so as to facilitate the Institute’s arrangement.  For online registration, please visit https://forms.gle/fEKC6cREACjChaNL7. Notice of an Election of Eight Members to the Council 2021

          Nominations are now being sought for an Election of Eight Members to the Council 2021 (“the Election”). Pursuant to Article 62 of the Institute's Articles of Association, at each Annual General Meeting to be held after 2017, one third of the elected members of Council for the time being or (if their number is not 3 or a multiple of 3) then the number nearest to but greater than one third shall retire and be eligible for re-election. The elected Council Members to retire pursuant to the preceding sentence shall be those persons who have been longest in office since their last election, but as between persons who became elected Council Members on the same day those to retire shall (unless they otherwise agree among themselves) be determined by lot. Past Papers of 2020 CTA Examination

Continuing Professional Development Courses Offered by CityU SCOPE

                The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong ("the Institute") and the CityU School of Continuing and Professional Education ("SCOPE") have jointly offered the Professional Diploma in Tax Advisory.  While the 2021 intake of the Programme has already commended in January 2021, SCOPE now offers an option for people who wish to take a specific module course instead of completing the full programme.  Applicaiton deadline for module courses is 1 March 2021 (Monday). 1.
