Further extension of M-code loss case filing deadline
Recognising the impact of the recent severe outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic on the work schedules of practitioners and businesses, the IRD has agreed to further extend the due date of filing the M Code Profits Tax Returns for loss cases to 31 March 2022.

香港稅務師在深圳前海蛇口片區執業登記推薦函申請
自2021年1月19日國家稅務局發佈了《港澳涉稅專業人士在中國（廣東）自由貿易試驗區深圳前海蛇口片區執業管理暫行辦法》（以下簡稱《辦法》），全面放寬港澳涉稅專業人士執業要求，包括取消資格考試，並改為執業登記；拓寬服務區域，放寬服務範圍，取消執業年齡、合夥人資質、內地執業時間限制等，大大為香港稅務師和澳門會計師跨境執業提供了便利。
在向深圳市稅務局遞交《港澳涉稅專業服務人員執業登記表》前，香港稅務師必先要取得本學會出具的推薦函，以茲證明申請人連續3年從事涉稅專業的實際工作經驗而且最近3年未因執業行為不當受到所在地區主管部門行政處罰或行業懲戒。香港稅務學會（The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong）是獲授權在香港辦理和出具推薦函的唯一機構。
截至12月16日，學會已出具超過50份推薦函，而當中已46名香港稅務師成功獲得跨境執業資格。在取得跨境執業資格後，更有稅務師成功在深圳發起設立稅務師事務所，當中5間已完成了行政登記，可於前海正式執業，開展稅務服務。其中1間更是由港深澳三地稅務師共同設立的稅務師事務所。

2021 Legislative Council General Election (Functional Constituencies – Accountancy)
(If you are not a member of The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), you may ignore this notice.)
The 2021 Legislative Council General Election will be held on 19 December 2021 (Sunday) at 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.. The Geographical Constituencies, Functional Constituencies (FCs) and Election Committee Constituency will be held at the same time. All registered FCs electors can vote for 1 candidate in his/her respective FCs. If you are a registered voter please exercise your right and cast your vote.
