Charlotte has been a CIOT Council member since 2019 and is the current President.

She worked for many years at ICAS, Edinburgh, in a range of policy and regulatory roles, and was secretary to the Professional Conduct in Relation to Taxation working group (comprising seven professional bodies). Her work with CIOT includes being a member of the Officers Group of Council, the joint CIOT-ATT Officers and Senior Staff Forum, the Scottish Technical Committee, and past chair of the CIOT Nominations Committee.

Charlotte is the author of ‘The Management of Taxes in Scotland’ published by Bloomsbury Professional, and is a MA, CA, and CTA (Fellow).
