Description

Introduction:

The negotiation of trade deals between the US and numerous trade partners are still ongoing.  While the US and China agree to postpone the tariff truce by another 90 days; the US and EU are establishing a single, all-inclusive US tariff ceiling of 15% for EU goods.  New rates for Asia include 15% on Korea and Japan; 20% on Taiwan and 19% on Thailand, Malaysia and Cambodia; 25% on India; baseline rate of 10% on Singapore and hardest hit for Laos and Myanmar both facing 40%. Uncertainties are expected to continue in the more complex geopolitical and business environment.

In this seminar, our tax and customs experts from PwC will discuss with you the following and enable you to refresh the latest tariff impacts and the possible solutions that companies may explore.

  1. What the U.S. reciprocal tariff push means for international supply chain sustainability
  2. Possible export strategies and business model restructuring for manufacturers, traders and e-commerce players
  3. Whether relocating the manufacturing sites helps? How to evaluate different countries and understand the certificate of origin?
  4. Cases sharing and takeaways
