Note: The total CPD hour is 1 hour. The certificate is awarded based on attendance duration. In case of any disputes, the association reserves the right of final decision.

Introduction:

The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) will launch three interconnected portals under eTAX services, namely Individual Tax Portal (ITP), Business Tax Portal (BTP) and Tax Representative Portal (TRP), in July 2025 to modernize tax administration by consolidating the existing eTAX services and introducing new features to enhance convenience, efficiency and transparency for individuals, businesses and service agents. The BTP and TRP were pre-launched on 22 April 2025 for businesses and service agents to register their dedicated accounts in advance and gain access to the full range of e-services immediately upon their official launch in July 2025. TIHK is pleased to invite the IRD to brief us on:

• an overview of the new portals;
• various electronic services available under each portal, including e-filing of tax returns, viewing of tax records, lodgment of objection and holdover applications, block extension, upgraded message box, application for certificate of resident status, business registration, e-stamping and other services; and
• mobile app for the ITP.
