The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong is pleased to announce that enrollment for the Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) Qualifying Examination 2025 is now open. To support candidates on their journey towards the CTA qualification, we offer a comprehensive CTA Exam Revision Course. This course is specially designed to strengthen core tax principles, enhance practical skills, and develop effective exam strategies. Through focused reviews, practice exercises, and expert instruction, participants will gain the confidence and knowledge needed to excel in the examination.

 

Lecturer Info

Mr. Pason Ngan (Paper 2 & Paper 3)

  • Senior tax manager in one of the Big 4 firms, responsible for providing in-house tax technical support and training as well as preparing external tax publications
  • Solid practical experience in Hong Kong and international tax
  • Strong focus on essential tax knowledge and exam skills to tackle exams effectively

 

Dr. David Pun (Paper 4 & Paper 5)

  • Held various positions ranging from finance and tax to operational and general management for the China divisions of a number of listed companies in Hong Kong
  • Advise companies developing their PRC business on rules and compliance, financial and tax planning on cross-border transactions and mainland operations
  • Demonstrate a systematic approach to analyse complex topics and questions
  • Provide clear explanations of effective strategies for addressing exam questions
  • Share numerous practical examples and straightforward methods for handling exam subjects.

Paper 2 – Hong Kong Tax

Fee: $3,500

  1. 18 hours learning videos (by-topic basis)
  2. Course Notes (E-copy)
  3. 9 hours live-streamed practice class (including replay access)

Date & Time:  4, 11, 18 September (Thursday), 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

 

Paper 3 – International Tax

Fee: $3,500

  1. 18 hours learning videos (by-topic basis)
  2. Course Notes (E-copy)
  3. 9 hours live-streamed practice class (including replay access)

Date & Time:  16, 23, 30 September (Tuesday), 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

 

Paper 4 – PRC Tax

Fee: $4,000

  1. 31 hours learning videos (by-topic basis)
  2. Course Notes (E-copy)
  3. 9 hours live-streamed practice class (including replay access)

Date & Time:  13, 20, 27 September (Saturday), 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

*Students need to prepare their own copies of the textbooks ‘稅法一’ and ‘稅法二’ published by the China Certified Tax Agents Association (CCTAA).

 

Paper 5 – Advanced Taxation Practice

Fee: $3,000

  1. 15 hours learning videos (by-topic basis)
  2. Course Notes (E-copy)
  3. 9 hours live-streamed practice class (including replay access)

Date & Time:  13, 20, 27 September (Saturday), 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

 

*Course Language: Cantonese

*Learning Platform: Google Classroom

Learning videos will be uploaded in batches, with the first batch available in the fourth week of August.

All videos will be available until 9:00 a.m. on the exam date.

 


Notes

The courses will be delivered through video sessions, complemented by live-streamed practice classes. All course materials are intended for personal use only.

Successful applicants will receive an email confirmation with course details at least 3 working days before the course begins. If you have not heard from the Institute by then or have any other enquiries related to the course, please contact the TIHK Secretariat at 2810 0438 or [email protected].

TIHK reserves the right to cancel the course if enrollment is insufficient and/or to make alterations regarding lecturers, class schedules, topic sequences, and the time allocated to each topic, if necessary. In the event of any interruptions, we will notify students as soon as possible.

All personal data collected from the enrollment process and administration of the Revision Course will only be used for the purpose of the administration of the course on which members are enrolled. The Institute may also use the collected data for statistical research and analysis and for other internal uses.

In case of any dispute, TIHK reserves the right of final arbitration.
