How should financial intermediaries and non-financial intermediaries get prepared for CARF/CRS2.0?

Speaker Profile

Francis is a Hong Kong based Tax Partner and over the years he has been at the forefront of providing OECD CRS/CARF/FATCA/QI/S.871(m) services to key financial institutions in Hong Kong and in the APAC region.

Francis has over 16 years of taxation experience and is dedicated to financial services clients. He has led numerous engagements of advising multinational financial institution groups, top tier banks and brokerage firms, insurance companies, asset managers, central banks, exchanges and crypto natives on the implementation of CRS/CARF/FATCA/QI/S.871(m) regimes.

Francis also assists financial institutions with periodic reviews, internal audit, handling of controversy matters including onsite inspections and desktop reviews from tax authorities. Francis has also assisted clients to realize their target operating model through end-to-end transformation.

Francis frequently assists his clients in assessing their readiness for the QI & FATCA Responsible Officer Certification. Francis has also been involved in Quality Assurance / Health Check / statutory periodic review on FATCA / CRS / QI compliance for various financial institutions and assisted them in remediating the gaps where identified.
