DESCRIPTION:The OECD’s two-pillar approach to international corporate tax reform under BEPS 2.0 consists of Pillar One for creating a new taxing right for market jurisdictions and Pillar Two for introducing a global minimum tax. The proposed global minimum tax under Pillar Two has triggered considerable discussions in Hong Kong as it could substantially impact the long established simple and low tax system of Hong Kong.
