You may be aware that there are certain updates in relation to the following aspects:-

 

l   2018/19 Profits Tax Return and Supplementary Forms;

 

l   The form for Application of Advance Ruling;

 

l   Country-by-Country Reporting (Notification and Return Filing); and

 

l   Claims for Benefits under the Mainland-Hong Kong Double Taxation Arrangement.

1. Mr Daniel FUNG Chi-keung
Chief Assessor (Profits Tax),
Inland Revenue Department

Mr Fung is a chief assessor of the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department. He currently holds the post of Chief Assessor (Profits Tax) and is responsible for the overall management of a division in Unit 1, mainly to ensure that corporate taxpayers are assessed in a proper and timely manner.

2. Ms Michelle YAM Mei-seung
Senior Assessor (Special Assignment),
Inland Revenue Department

Ms Yam is the Senior Assessor (Special Assignment) of the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department. She is engaged in the system design of the new supplementary forms to the profits tax return.

3. Ms Karen LEE Ming-oi
Senior Assessor (Financial Institutions),
Inland Revenue Department

Ms Lee is the Senior Assessor (Financial Institutions) of the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department. She is responsible for the Profits Tax files of the financial institutions.

4. Mr Benjamin CHAN Sze-wai
Acting Chief Assessor (Tax Treaty),
Inland Revenue Department

Mr Chan is the Acting Chief Assessor (Tax Treaty) of the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department. His present portfolio covers various matters concerning international taxation, including AEOI, BEPS, mutual agreement procedure and advance pricing arrangement. He has been engaged in formulating the implementation strategies for BEPS in Hong Kong, and taking forward the enactment of the Inland Revenue (Amendment) (No. 6) Ordinance 2018.

5. Ms Canice CHAN Tsui-fung
Senior Assessor (Tax Treaty),
Inland Revenue Department

Ms Chan is the Senior Assessor (Tax Treaty) of the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department. She is responsible for the Mainland-HK Double Taxation Arrangement and has participated in discussions with the State Taxation Administration on interpretation and implementation issues including administrative arrangement on Certificate of Resident Status.
